ABUYA PROJECT

GUYANA

Abuya Project

A Grassroots conceptual target, this property meets several criteria important for Paleoproterozoic gold mineralization in the Guiana Shield which has been further reinforced by economic alluvial gold production from streams draining the area. With the completion of Greenheart's first phase of reconnaissance mapping and geochemical sampling, the company has not only confirmed the presence of these factors, but also reinforced their ability to rapidly deploy and carry-out efficient high-quality exploration programs in the region.

Abuya is located on the western margin of the Aurora batholith/Devil's Hole gneiss complex, opposite Zijin's Aurora Gold Mine in the east. (Figure 1) Like Aurora and Oko West, the property is characterized by volcanosedimentary units folded up against the margin of the batholith. The Abuya Ammamuri granite intrudes the regional fold axis and occupies the western margin of the property. This folding and contrasting rheology situates Abuya in an ideal location allowing for the deformation and subsequent mineralization of the reactive host rocks. A regional NW-SE oriented shear zone to the immediate south of the property is a major fluid conduit for mineralizing fluids.

The completion of a first phase of reconnaissance mapping and soil sampling has confirmed the presence of all of these characteristics including a folded and locally sheared volcanosedimentary package and the small granitoid intrusions. Alteration and gold mineralization have been confirmed in trenching, but also by the profitable alluvial mining currently taking place by the single owner of the concession, with whom Greenheart has an option agreement to acquire 100% of the project area.
