Greenheart Gold is an exploration company that builds on a proven legacy of discoveries and mine development in the Guiana Shield. The company's name was chosen based on the species of Greenheart trees found growing throughout the rainforests of Guyana, Suriname and the wider region.  The region is underlain by the highly prospective Guiana Shield, a geological terrain that hosts numerous gold deposits. The Greenheart tree is a species known for its durability, strength and resilience, qualities that are also equally essential in the mineral exploration business.

Greenheart Gold’s focus is on exploring prospective greenstone belts of the Guiana Shield, spread across the jurisdictions of Guyana and Suriname.  Both countries have a history of gold discoveries and governments that are supportive of mining and where mining has historically contributed a crucial part of their countries’ respective GDPs.

Greenheart Gold, a Canadian corporation trading on the TSX Venture Exchange, is a spin-off of the business combination between G Mining Ventures Corp. and Reunion Gold Corporation completed on July 15, 2024. The company is led by the former executive team of Reunion Gold, a team that was most recently noted for the discovery and delineation of the Oko West deposit in Region 7 of Guyana. The Oko West deposit, now owned by G Mining Ventures, is rapidly being developed, only 4 years after discovery. With a current resource of 4.3 Moz of gold in the indicated category, and an additional 1.6 Moz of gold in inferred resources, this project is set to become the newest Tier 1 development project in the region.

 

The company’s predecessor Reunion Gold and by extension Greenheart Gold, have a reputation as respectable and dependable exploration partners in both Suriname and Guyana.  This is in part due to a legacy of exploration success that has been achieved by the company’s executive team and in particular that of the company’s Executive Chairman, Mr. David Fennell. This success includes the discovery and development of several multi-million-ounce gold deposits in addition to Oko West, including Rosebel in Suriname and Omai in Guyana.
